Tang Wong

Dr Tang Wong graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (honours) from the University of NSW in 2003 and undertook training in endocrinology at the Concord Repatriation, Prince of Wales and Bankstown-Lidcombe hospitals. He is currently appointed as an Endocrinologist at both Prince of Wales and Bankstown-Lidcombe hospital.

Dr Wong is a dedicated teacher and holds an appointment as a conjoint lecturer at UNSW. He is also co-supervisor of advanced training in Endocrinology. He has published a chapter in an endocrinology text book in cooperation with the US endocrine society and has also published in a number of peer reviewed journals. He currently sits on the editorial board of the Diabetes Management Journal. While he has a passion for all things in general endocrinology (type 1 and 2 diabetes, thyroid, bone, pituitary, adrenal and PCOS). He has a particular interest in diabetes in pregnancy, which is his area of active research. ​

In 2011, he was awarded the Emerging investigator (researcher) award and subsequently in 2013 the best poster award by the Australian Diabetes in Pregnancy Society. He is a member of the Endocrine society of Australia, the Australian Diabetes Society, the Australian Diabetes in Pregnancy society and the US endocrine society. Dedicated to the care of patients with endocrine problems, Dr Tang Wong has expertise and experience in the medical management of diseases of the thyroid and parathyroid glands.
